While on campus, CNBC’s Becky Quick also interviewed Professor Bruce Greenwald, “the guru to Wall Street’s gurus”, on value investing.

The event promises to be lively, with students able to ask questions on these icons’ ventures, philosophies and views on business. The exchange will be filmed by CNBC for global broadcast under the title “Warren Buffett and Bill Gates: Keeping America Great.”  In the United States it will air on Thursday, November 12 at 9 p.m. ET; in Asia on November 13 at 1200 SIN/HK; and in Europe on November 15 at 13.00 CET.

Next, I added two articles under Professor Bruce Greenwald.  The first article is a recent interview from Advisor Perspectives titled “Bruce Greenwald on Structural Problems in the Economy and Unemployment.” The second is an older article from Columbia Business School Alumni Magazine, Hermes,  titled “The Good Life:  How Managers Made the Modern World.”

Professor Greenwald was recently interviewed on FT.com by a former student.

I recently came across this interview with Michael Mauboussin who is a Columbia Business School Adjunct Professor and Strategist of Legg Mason.  Mauboussin’s new book, Think Twice: Harnessing the Power of Counterintuition hits bookshelves on October 12, 2009.  If it lives up to his past books, it will become a must read.  I highly recommend checking out Cap@Columbia.  The site provides a wealth of content on investing, including articles written by Michael Mauboussin.   For those of you who live in the NY/NJ area, Professor Mauboussin will be speaking about his new book on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at The New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA).  Click here for more information on the NYSSA event.
